Praise the Lord,
There are those who call themselves Ministers of the Gospel who would have you believe that after the death of the Apostle John around 100 A.D., God got His gold watch. He packed it in. He filed for Social Security, joined the AARP, moved to Florida, donned a Hawaiian shirt, topped off His cup with iced tea and headed for the lawn chair. They suppose the Eternal One wakes up a 4:00 AM every morning, has supper at Bob Evans at 4:00 PM, and hits the sack around 8:00 PM, except of course for bingo night. We have anthropomorphized God so much to the point we now figure since He’s infinity years old, He has to act like it.
I beg your pardon, but the God that I serve is timeless. The God I serve is Eternal. The God I serve changes not. The God I serve is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God works miracles. That’s simply what He does. Nowhere in Scripture does it say He would ever retire or even take a day off. If you don’t believe He still works miracles, that’s your problem, not His or mine. There are those who believe the moon landing was a hoax, but that doesn’t affect the fact that it happened. There are those who believe the earth is flat, but that doesn’t prevent satellites from orbiting, now does it? If you stick your head in the sand and demand that there be no miracles in your presence, don’t worry. God doesn’t force miracles into your life. They sure come in handy when you need them, though. Now I know there are those going around claiming to be performing miracles to get attention and accolades from man. There is one particularly heretical and probably demonic individual running this kind of circus in Florida right now. I won’t mention Todd Bentley’s name or anything….oops!! I’m not talking about these kinds of jokers. I’m talking about the Real Thing. I’m talking about miracles that heal the soul as well as the body that don’t involve kicking people, forcing yourself on little kids or shaking people like ragdolls. There is One who still performs real miracles, and He isn’t covered in tats.
The Jesus who passed by and a simple touch of His garment was enough to heal a twelve year sickness is the same Jesus who is passing by this moment, and He still has His garment. Fight through the crowd! Don’t let doubt, insecurity, or unbelief stand in the way of your miracle! Press on with every ounce of strength you can muster until you get a hold of that garment. That healing virtue will flow and your miracle will happen and oh yeah, Jesus will notice you!!
May the Lord Jesus Bless and Keep you!
Amen!! I can’t phantom any religion thinking they have control and decide what is right or wrong and who is forgiven or not forgiven..etc. As I visit with the Lord daily, I am very much reminded He is alive and well and willing.
‘Our’ conversations are outstandingly brilliant as He leads the thoughts. For one to never personally commune with Jesus Christ doen’t have a clue as to what I’m talking about…Great Words!
